Mommy Caved!

Kyra: Ha!  Mommy finally caved and gave me the hook up with a brand new (not "new to Kyra," but NEW FROM THE STORE) bouncer toy.  This rocks!  And when Chloe sits close enough to me, I can still pull her hair WHILE STANDING UP.  Awesome.

Trick or Treating

Chloe: What a weekend!  We had a great time trick or treating at the mall and the salon lady in JCPenney even streaked our hair.

Amber: Relax, Daddy - it's not dye.

Chloe and Amber: But, the best part was the candy.  Wow, the candy!

Kyra: I received no candy.  Yet another holiday that sucks.

Introducing... Tinkerbell

When Amber's Tinkerbell costume arrived in the mail, she insisted on putting it on right away.  She kept repeating, "Mommy, this so bootiful on me!"  When I made her take it off so it wouldn't get dirty, she hugged it.  Success!

Next week... Peter Pan.

Climbing Chloe

Chloe: I can literally climb anything I want.  This one really scared Mommy, but I can handle it.

For this one, I held the rope with my hands, climbed with my feet, and then pulled myself up through the window.  The older girl after me couldn't do it.

Sometimes I need a break after...

...And then I get right back to it.

Amber is not so much with the climbing.

At the Linvilla Orchards playground the other day, Mommy asked me how I feel when I'm climbing.  I told her I get tired!  And she clarified that she meant how I feel emotionally: do I feel scared, happy, excited?  I said, "No, never scared.  When I begin a climb, I feel excited.  Then, happy.  Then, tired."

Linvilla Orchards

Chloe: I really love Linvilla Orchards - I was thrilled when Mommy said we could go with the Phi Sigs and their kids... AND I just went yesterday with school, but that's a-whole-nother thing.  I wouldn't normally flaunt it in front of Amber because she'd get jealous, but I know she's distracted right now...

Amber (shyly): Hi, Ethan (blushes).

Kyra: I don't know where we are.  But it's been all about me lately, so you go girls.

Amber: Thank you.  Anyway, I am a FOOL for a slide.  I will slide on anything.

Chloe: I prefer climbing, but more on that tomorrow.  One thing we definitely have in common...

Amber: A shared love of facepaint.

Chloe: And since we wore it for about 3 hours, it was definitely worth the $16 Mommy paid.

Amber: I agree.

Introducing... Wendy Darling

Here is our beautiful first born in her Halloween costume as Wendy Darling from Peter Pan.  Chloe absolutely adores her costume and loved our photo session last week. When the photographer asked, "Can you put your hands on your hips?"  Ed and I looked at each other and said in unison, "YEAH she can."

We love you, Chlo-Chlo!

(Next week, we'll be posting Tinkerbell.)

P.S. If you love Chloe's Wendy dress, check out HollyBerryDolls on Etsy.

Bottles Suck

Kyra: I want food.  Real food.

I'm sick of bottles.

Kyra: They give me mushed up food in little plastic boxes and that is NOT the food that they eat.

Kyra: This man lets me get my hands on stuff off his plate if he's feeling charitable, but I only have the one tooth.

This sucks.

Chloe (off camera to Amber): It's like she has forgotten we exist.

Amber (in response): It's EXACTLY like that.  This is how we end up breaking things.  These are calls for help that go unanswered.

A New Favorite?

Kyra: Have you noticed that my mother seems to have stopped taking photos of my sisters?  I mean, I'm not saying that I'm the favorite or anything, but if I were... well, it wouldn't be a bad choice.

I mean, look at me.  I'm ADORABLE.

Mommy and Daddy think it's especially adorable when I try to steal their food and eat it... but that's just because that crap they feed me is disgusting.  They think I'm trying to reach for toys and stuff, but really, I'm foraging for food.

Someone HELP ME.
