There will be new pictures...

...Just not today.

Mommy is having a rough day, but I do have new photos and plan to post them soon. Tomorrow is probably more realistic.

In the meantime, haiku:

Chloe has teeth buds
Mommy misses smoking and
Daddy gives advice.

Today is two years
Anniversaries are low
Rent when house buying.

My family is
My greatest and favorite
thing about each day.

Chloe post: Whew, I'm Exhausted!

Wow - that Mommy is just wearing me out! We had such a fun weekend, though. We went to Sea Isle City to visit Aunt Diane and Uncle John for Fall Family Festival. Aunt Diane took me shopping and bought me really pretty presents and then I napped on the beach with Uncle John. I love the beach! I like to not stay on the blanket that Mommy brings and I like to not play with the toys she brought. But most of all, I like to eat sand!

Mommy and Aunt Diane also took me for a pony ride. I like ponies! I held on to the saddle like a big girl and I laughed and smiled at my pony, Hannah. I want a pony!

I also had a good time tracking Midnight and Bella, Aunt Diane's kitties. They are so funny! They don't make any noise, and then BOOM there they are! I was laughing at them. I want a kitty!

Yesterday, Mommy took me to the Cape May Zoo which was so cool! I growled at a bear and laughed at the ducks, goats and potbellied pigs. One of the piggies grunted at me and it was the coolest thing ever! I want a piggy!

After we saw all the animals, Mommy took me to the zoo playground and I went on the swings. I love to fly through the air with the greatest of ease. Then, we went shopping in Stone Harbor to buy birthday presents for Aunt Diane. Finally, we drove home and I could finally take a decent nap. Whew. She wears me out, that Mommy.

This is me smiling because I love the zoo so much!

Chloe post: Sharing Toys is Good

It turns out that I am not the only one in the house with toys! Recently, I discovered that Mommy and Daddy have toys that they have not previously shared with me! When Mommy was cooking, she thoughtfully spread out some Chloe toys on the floor for me, but frankly I needed a change. I scooted around until I found a little cabinet with a bunch of things I had never seen before. These large items are musical instruments of unknown name. They have many uses. You can drum on the bottom of them with your hand, you can strike them on the floor, or my favorite - you can strike them together repeatedly. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Mommy and Daddy are so excited that I have a new hobby! I like music!

Devastation at the Day Care

NOOOOOOOOOOOO. The day she warned me about is arriving on Monday. Miss Stella starts her practicum and will be doing it Monday-Thursday for a month. She will work at the daycare on Fridays only. If they hire her at the end, she will leave us completely!

ARGH.

On the one hand, we simply adore Miss Stella and want her to succeed and get whatever she wants. On the other hand, DEVASTATION.

I need a cool compress.

Chloe post: Happy Birthday, Great Aunt Joanne!

Happy 50th Birthday to my Great Aunt Jo Jo! She had LOTS of candles on her cake! It was too cold for Mommy to let me go swimming, but I had a fun time visiting with everyone, riding the swings, and trying my first taste of birthday cake frosting. It was such a fun day! That little taste must have given me a sugar rush, because I am very active right now... Mommy is tired. Mommy is silly! I will have to try to pep her up a little!

Chloe post: Reporting in

Whew - what a busy day we had yesterday. I had lots of fun at the barbeque! No one would give me a hot dog, but I still had a good time. There were lots of kids and dogs. One big dog gave me a big kiss. Aunt Barb was afraid I would start to cry, but I just laughed!

I had a good time playing, too. Daddy was trying to teach me how to juggle my toys and I got to go on a couple of walks around the neighborhood.

It was nice to visit with so many people, too. Here I am with Uncle Darrell. He has a little girl named Gabi who was there, too. There were lots of people wanting to hold me and give me kisses. I was so happy! Today, we are going to Aunt Joanne's party - I will get lots more kisses, there - I can guarantee it!

Chloe post: Swinging in the Park

I like swinging! Yesterday, Mommy took me to the park to test out the Baby Swings. It is so fun! At first, I was really confused and wouldn't put my feet in. I started getting really nervous, but finally Mommy sat me in the swing and pushed me. It is so cool! I could watch the other kids playing and feel the nice breeze on my face. And every time I got far away from Mommy, I just kept coming right on back again! It was really neat. I started to get tired, though, because it's hard work to stay upright when swinging back and forth.

So, then Mommy took me over to the Big Girl Swings. We sat together and Mommy did all the work while I rested. We did that for awhile and then Mommy pushed me home. Home, Jeeves! I was so exhausted after all that exercise that I took a really nice nap!

Today, I am playing nicely in my Pak n Play while Daddy sleeps and Mommy takes dictation. Later, we are going to Aunt Barb's and Uncle Chris's for a barbeque. They have two little boys and one of those strange dog animals, so it should be a fun afternoon. And tomorrow, we are going to Aunt Joanne's 50th birthday party at the pool. I love the pool!
